Hey there! And welcome to my slice of the internet. It is currently August 2021!
The name of this blog came from a friend of mine in high school who decided to tell me that I would be great girlfriend material (to the guy I was crushing on at the time) if I wasn’t so fat. It’s kind of become a little bit of fuel that feeds the fire in my soul since then.
I have three degrees: politics, religion, and education. If you happen upon a serious post, it will most likely be about one of those three topics. I used to be a teacher, in South Korea and Ontario (I currently live in Ottawa). I moved to Toronto to be a nanny three years ago, taught at a small private school for the two pandemic years, and now I am starting a new teaching job at a private school in Ottawa.
I used to think I had polycystic ovary syndrome because I have alopecia and hair growth on my face/shoulders (that means this girl’s got a wig) but then some tests happened and it’s just DNA…Lame. I talk about this as my “hair situation” sometimes. I also didn’t want to have kids but after finding out I don’t have PCOS now I kind of do? The emotions ya’ll…
If you want/need more information give this post a read. But definitely pop over to my Disclaimers page, and make sure to follow me on Twitter for even more craziness @noluvforfatties. I have also started to get heavily invested in nail art over the last few years. If that’s your type of thing, posts are random but usually every 2-3 weeks. You can also follow my nail Instagram account: tattooedgingernails
Nice to meet you. Looking forward to getting to know you. I was a teacher too but never adventurous enough to head off into the unknown. Good luck, wishing you all you would wish yourself.

What do you teach? I always thought if I were a teacher, I’d be an art teacher. One of those quirky ones that gets kids excited to learn about it in new and funky ways 🙂

I am licensed to teach k-6, I am DEFINITELY more of a kindergarten teacher and I had started to get my specialization there. I have extra training for kindergarten, ESL, and special ed. Right now I’m in Korea teaching English at an after school private academy 🙂 So really I teach everything and anything! Just not math, for the love of sweet baby Jesus not math!

That’s exactly how I feel about math haha! Math is evil! 🙂

It totally is! I’m only technically licensed to go up to grade 6. But this one time I answered a call for grade 7/8. Once I answer a call, if I decline then I can be penalized for it, so I had to take the job. It wasn’t TOOOO bad. but then I had to do a review period for math. No biggie, I thought it was going to be ok, but then someone asked me to help them with solving for X in some crazy question. I just looked at the book and was like “sweety, I’m sorry you’ve got to ask your teacher when he comes back tomorrow. I have no idea” lol then my brother taught me how to do it via email later that night, which I now forget hehe.

Thanks for liking my post about education. I can see from your own log that you are a professional educator. Good for you. Teachers are doing the most important of all jobs. I don’t have a problem with maths. I used it throughout my career ass an Engineer. But it I fully appreciate that many people find it hard to grapple with and that’s okay.

Thanks for dropping in and leaving a message. I am technically a professional teacher however its in a non-traditional setting. I have so much respect for teachers who work in publicly funded jobs. I couldnt do that!

Very pleased to meet you! I’m John! And I am in no way, shape or form insulted nor even disgusted by “fatties”. It just so happens I’m married to a “big girl” and things that I’ve learned from her are priceless. I’m not one to judge outward appearance… when a woman is pretty/hot/attractive/etc, she is just that. Some guys are too scared to acknowledge this…
