About

Hey there! And welcome to my slice of the internet.

The name of this blog came from a friend of mine in high school who decided to tell me that I would be great girlfriend material (to the guy I was crushing on at the time) if I wasn’t so fat. It’s kind of become a little bit of fuel that feeds the fire in my soul since then.

I have three degrees: politics, religion, and education. If you happen upon a serious post, it will most likely be about one of those three topics. I used to be a teacher, in South Korea and Ontario (I currently live in Toronto).Β But now I’m a nanny – probably the best job of my life! Read about it here

For those of you stopping by for the first time, there are a few things you need to know. First of all, I used to think I had polycystic ovary syndrome because of I have alopecia and hair growth on my face/shoulders (means this girl’s got a wig (Doris) and thread/wax my jawline every 2ish weeks) but then some tests happened and it’s just DNA…Lame. I talk about this as my “hair situation” frequently. I also didn’t want to have kids but after finding out I don’t have PCOS now I kind of do? The emotions ya’ll…

If you want/need more information give this post a read. But definitelyΒ pop over to my Disclaimers page, and make sure to follow me on Twitter for even more craziness @noluvforfatties

    • I am licensed to teach k-6, I am DEFINITELY more of a kindergarten teacher and I had started to get my specialization there. I have extra training for kindergarten, ESL, and special ed. Right now I’m in Korea teaching English at an after school private academy πŸ™‚ So really I teach everything and anything! Just not math, for the love of sweet baby Jesus not math!

        • It totally is! I’m only technically licensed to go up to grade 6. But this one time I answered a call for grade 7/8. Once I answer a call, if I decline then I can be penalized for it, so I had to take the job. It wasn’t TOOOO bad. but then I had to do a review period for math. No biggie, I thought it was going to be ok, but then someone asked me to help them with solving for X in some crazy question. I just looked at the book and was like “sweety, I’m sorry you’ve got to ask your teacher when he comes back tomorrow. I have no idea” lol then my brother taught me how to do it via email later that night, which I now forget hehe.

  1. A heartthrob in my high school told me once that If I wasn’t a small girl he would like me to be his girl. So what can you say about that? I just laugh it off but now I am definitely had the last laugh. πŸ™‚ Cheers!

  2. Kindest regards! We shall be in touch. Thanks for looking at my blog site. I hope you are liking the stories. English to Koreans! A challenge. I taught some Outstanding Korean students at the college level. More later.

  3. Thanks for liking my post about education. I can see from your own log that you are a professional educator. Good for you. Teachers are doing the most important of all jobs. I don’t have a problem with maths. I used it throughout my career ass an Engineer. But it I fully appreciate that many people find it hard to grapple with and that’s okay.

    • Thanks for dropping in and leaving a message. I am technically a professional teacher however its in a non-traditional setting. I have so much respect for teachers who work in publicly funded jobs. I couldnt do that!

  5. Very pleased to meet you! I’m John! And I am in no way, shape or form insulted nor even disgusted by “fatties”. It just so happens I’m married to a “big girl” and things that I’ve learned from her are priceless. I’m not one to judge outward appearance… when a woman is pretty/hot/attractive/etc, she is just that. Some guys are too scared to acknowledge this…
