A creative poetry series!
This series is pretty simple, I post 4 colours of paint with their names and I use those names in a poem. I decided to add two extra rules for myself. First, if there are more than two words, I keep them together, only allowing punctuation to separate the words. And secondly, I use the words in the order in which they appear.
If you want to join in on the fun, feel free to create your own poem inspired by the colours below. Either drop it into the comments or link this post to your own so I can read it 🙂

If one thing was certain,
She knew that her heart would suffer.
Pain, suffering, anguish, even death
By chocolate or brown velvet.
The hues that caught her eye as they passed her on the street
The sharp contrast to her own.
Lately slipping into earth fired red, or kalahari sunset.
Never straying far from that end of the colour spectrum
Her preference so clearly defined and boxed in.
Knowing her heart would most certainly suffer,
Never changing her own selection process.
Willingly accepting her fate.
What an innovative way to write a poem!!.bful. to write on my own ….would need more time and thought. Wil try later..if i can crack it will post
Good day

I encourage you to give it a try! I’ve been doing them weekly since the years beginning and having a lot of fun. I’m a little more flexible with using the words than GF. Join the fun!
