Sunday Scribblings #94

Aaron’s word of inspiration this week is strawberry.

I really like strawberries! I’m not sure I have ever met anyone who didn’t? I think I might think that they are really weird if I ever met someone who didn’t like strawberries.

There’s this summery dessert that my mom used to make when we were younger and I honestly love it so much, so I’m going to share it here for you. You don’t have to use strawberries for it, blueberries work as well! But we usually had it as strawberry flavoured. You just need to match the jello and fruit flavours, or not, who am I to tell you what you’d enjoy? There aren’t really any measurements, it’s basically a “measure with love” type of thing.

Strawberries: 90% chopped into small pieces, 10% in slices for the top.
Whipped Topping
Cottage Cheese
Strawberry flavoured jello

Mix equal parts of cottage cheese and whipped topping in a bowl with one package of jello and the fruit slices. Mix well. Smooth the top of the mixture out, place strawberry slices on top. Cover and refrigerate for at least a few hours to let the jello firm up the mixture. And then enjoy!

So yummy!

  2. Hmm, never heard of whipped topping. What’s that? And cottage cheese is interesting because I assumed it would be cream cheese in something like that.

And, while not a dislike (in fact he loves them), Heckle is highly allergic to strawberries.
