2015-2021

Happy 6th birthday/blogiversary to No Love For Fatties!!

As we do every year, let’s have the story of NLFF: When I started NLFF, I was on a different site, which turned out to be a horrible choice for a platform because the site was crashed more than it was online. So after about a month or so, on a day where the site was active, I downloaded all my posts and transferred them over to WordPress and now here we are, 6 years later!

I know I say this every year, but I honestly would not have lasted this long without every single person who is reading this. It is the online community that has grown here, and the genuine friendships, that keep me going.

I have had blogs before, which started out the same way, as just personal diaries because I can type faster than I can write, and I can go back and add things when my brain is going too fast for my hand. Online has always been my comfort zone ever since I was in my pre-teens. But none have lasted more than 6 months.

I have loved this blog, I have hated it, I have had anticipation and dread over posting. I have had successes and happy things to share, and losses, frustrations, and heart break. I have been vague, and quite often enough, I have over shared. And through it all you dearest readers have been there to support me!

As summer draws to an end (I start work on the 30th), I will probably disappear from postings. I know September will be exhausting enough going back to work after being home since mid-March, and it being a new school and new environment, and a huge learning curve. However, I don’t want you to think that I’m just going to be disappearing. There will still be regular posts!

First of all, now that I have a new phone, the camera quality is AMAZING! Like just WOW! I have found a new video editor that I think will do everything I need (and more) for my nail videos so nail posts will continue every 2-3 weeks. I like doing every 2 weeks, but I also love that I have become skilled enough to let my nails grow out for 3 weeks without air bubbles happening and my nail enhancements coming off. So we’ll see how it goes.

Of course, I will be keeping up with Aaron’s Sunday Scribblings. And if you haven’t gotten on that bandwagon yet, like seriously why not? Aaron gives us a word of inspiration each week (this week is the word bat) and you just get to write whatever you want. Like it’s amazing!

Don’t even think for one second I will let my new job stop me from crushing it in the next Captain’s Quiz. Whenever that might be coming (Paul? Seriously…when is it?)

So that will probably keep this blog going until next summer lol!

I do have a new series that is coming up and I have been spending the entire month preparing for it. I’m really excited about it but also really nervous. It will start on September 1st, and there will be an introduction post next week on it so make sure you look out for it. It’s my own little interactive series and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do! I mean, if the boys can make interactive series, why can’t I? HAHA I know that is super vague but you just have to wait five days to learn about it. You can do it. I believe in you.

So Happy Birthday to my blog, and a huge massive thank you to all of you amazing lovely people! I truly do love you all.

xoxo,

T

  1. Wooo Happy Blogiversary! Your blog starts Grade 1 this year is that correct?

Looking forward to your interactive series! Is it called Giggletember?

Official statement from the Captain’s Quiz Committee (CQC): We were going to release the quiz a few weeks ago but decided it would be too confusing with the Blogger Games going at the same time, so it’s been postponed to September.
