Aaron’s word of inspiration this week is flower.
Well obviously, that means I am going to talk about my favourite flowers! So if you’re thinking of sending me any, these would be the ones to get my attention!
Gerbera Daisies – I LOOOOVVVVEEEE them!!! I love how they can be lots of different colours and they just look soooo beautiful!
Yellow roses with pink “lips” – If you’re going to get me roses, these are the ones to get me.
Oriental lilies (also known as stargazer lilies)- they smell SOOO good!!!

And lastly, I have been really really into hydrangeas lately. Not sure why, but they sure are beautiful.
I have been bugging my brother to paint his guest bedroom in his new house yellow for me. And he said a firm and unwavering NO! But he did say if I brought a yellow rose bush he would plant it LOL So I might just have to take a look into finding one just to have it.
My favorites are lilacs, lilies & daisy.
Years ago when my oldest son was starting junior high, he said that the only pretty flowers were red ones…so for a few years whenever he knew I was getting ready to start gardening he went with me to the store to pick out the most unique red flowers that he could find.

My favourites are daffodils. I think they are the happiest flower. I also love wattle – their scent and flower. the wattles are just about to start flowering here, they are getting teeny buds on them at the moment. I can’t wait until they do. It’s like someone has dusted the trees with yellow powder. So pretty.

Wattle (Acacia species) are a native Aussie tree. They get golden flowers in late winter, but the trees are totally laden with flowers. So pretty. I always pick a bunch and stick in a vase on the kitchen bench.
