Aaron from The Confusing Middle has started a Sunday Scribblings post which is encouraging others to write on the same topic. This week’s topic is Beginning.
It kind of feels like a new beginning here in Ontario. As of Thursday we have officially begun “Phase One” of our reopening after our COVID shut down. Of course, that doesn’t really mean too much. A lot of seasonal things are reopening and some things are getting back to normal. Retail shops are allowed to reopen if they have street access – they have to work within appointment only and/or limit the number of people in the store. But at least things are slowly opening up again.
When the news came, not much affected me really. I am waiting for work and church to be open again and to be able to be less than six feet away from those who don’t live with me. It’s great to know that we are getting to a place where it’s safe to have our new lives beginning again. I like that things are getting there. In Toronto, where I live, it’s still an epicenter for the disease. Obviously. Like no one really excepted us to be the first region to be free of the virus. We are too big and there is just too much spread and opportunities for spread here. Where my parents’ live, it’s different. It’s a smaller community. I have a friend in the came county and she is all up on the stats there – all active cases have now recovered and there hasn’t been a new case in 13 days. That’s amazing! It gives me so much peace of mind knowing that my parents moved out there ten years ago and were able to be safe from this disease.
Now we are all moving forward. Spring has officially started, the cold weather is leaving, and the sun is shining. With the combination of phase one starting, things are starting to look up.
It will be interesting to see some new beginnings after all this is over. This Sunday Scribblings sounds fun and I may hop on. Happy Sunday to you!

Yay on quarantine starting to relax. Fingers crossed you don’t get a second wave and have to lockdown again.

I’ve already told The Guy I’m spending second wave on his couch 😂 at first I was joking but now I’m 100% serious. We had a TWO MINUTE phone conversation today. First exchange in a whole week that wasn’t basically “good morning” 5 hours later “how was work?” “Goodnight”

They have always allowed boy/girl friend to visit each other here. That was the only visitation allowed.

Not here! If you don’t live with them you don’t see them.
