A conversation during math class
Whole class learning, the students on the carpet, me on a chair.
Me: Raise your hand if you can describe this word for me….hexagon
Girl raises her hand and I call on her: Miss E, I like your nails! They are sooo pretty and they look bumpy…and they look….they look like sweaters on your nails!
Me: Thank you! They are supposed to be sweaters on my nails. But can you tell me what a hexagon is?
Girl: But why is there no jewel on that one.
Me: because I didn’t follow the instructions and it fell off
Boy: YOU MEAN YOU DID IT YOURSELF?!
Me: Yes! of course!
Boy: You didn’t go to a store?!
Me: No
The whole class: WWWWWOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW
Me: guys stop distracting me! What’s a hexagon?!
Oh, but nails are so much more interesting, Ms. E!

Now you have to paint one nail just slightly different from the rest and play a game of Spot The Difference. Should kill at least 15 minutes!

ππ I always have one or two nails different from the rest! Accent nails! Donβt you watch my nail videos, Paul?!? π₯Ίπ
