A to Z Challenge

Alright Peeps and Meeps! I am LATE on this post this year! Usually I am posting about A to Z in FEBRUARY but I’m not blogging that much lately so here we are – two days before the reveal post day and I’m just posting now.

Legit, I forgot. I have been so busy with work and not blogging that my regular blogging things have been pushed to the side.

Another blogger reminded me.

I have been thinking about a topic but I’m not quite there yet.

I HAVE registered. I did that like three days ago HAHA. But I am registered! I had planned to use my whole March Break to write and schedule posts but now I am making lesson plans and figuring out how to best use google classroom to keep my students learning while we miss two weeks of school and we are already behind in math and omg.

Anyway – so yes. I have registered. I have semi-settled on a theme. I will be scheduling a large quantity of posts ahead of time, if not all of them. I don’t think this is cheating. I will have a post each day to correspond with the letter for that day. I’m a busy woman (even with three weeks off) and there’s nothing in the challenge rules that says I can’t. Plus it makes it easier to spend time reading other people’s things.

If you happen to have some free time and would like to join in on the challenge, I definitely recommend it. I LOVE IT! This is my 5th year doing it. WOOHOO.

So far, my themes have been:

  • capital cities I want to visit (2016)
  • Harry Potter (2017)
  • The Kitchener Ranger’s OHL players that I actually went to high school with (2018)
  • 500 word short stories based on a children’s carpet and only written the day it had to be posted (2019)

Last year’s was hard because I limited myself in how many words I could post AND I had to do it the day of the letter. It was ok since I was posting every day anyway but my engagement with other’s wasn’t so great. BUT I did really enjoy writing the short stories. The year before I wrote a few short stories for a friend to help him get through the challenge and that started this fiction side of my writing that I really enjoyed.

Anyway, if you want to read what I have posted, check out my category label on the right hand side of your computer screen. Everything is super organized.

If you want to join in, sign up using this link. And let me know so I can add you into my “A to Z” bookmarked folder to read your stuff everyday!

If you have never done this challenge before and are considering it, I definitely say do it! If you have any questions let me know and I’ll try to help, or just check out the link above which will take you to the challenge’s main page.

This is an acceptable way to spend time with like 1000 people at the same time right now! 😀

  1. 5th year, wow, it’s only my 2nd 😉 Thank you to remind us about the reveal post in 2 days (completely forgot…). Your scheduling process sounds good, and practical! I have to prepare online courses for my students too… See you at the AtoZ challenge ;))

  2. I’ll be joining too. I know there are a lot of people who schedule their posts so no worry about that. I have all the letters drafted with the badges for the letters and a post drafted for the theme reveal and even the recap. It really does make it easier to keep up. I’m excited to see what you will write about. I found you last year through the A to Z. WP or my computer is wonky today and I tried to like this post but it wouldn’t let me 😦

    • Haha we did find each other last year through this!! I have my theme picked out now and my reveal post is scheduled for tomorrow ☺️ I want to try to get my school work done first before getting into this theme but I might actually do one post a day just to have a little diversity in my day hehe
