Nail Art Sunday: New Drill

OMG it came on Monday!!

So I know that I posted about a drill that I purchased all the way back in April, but I literally never used it. It was too difficult to change out the bits on it, and I only paid $20 for it so it’s just sat in my closet. And also, I haven’t started to do acrylic nails yet (still waiting on my practice fingers to arrive) and that was the whole reason I got it. So that I could shape and file the acrylic.

It’s a nice unit, but not knowing where it came from or getting anything other than what is shown here in the picture, I was a little hesitant to investigate getting it fixed. And I’m sure getting it fixed would have cost more than the $20 I spent to get it.

So, after Christmas, I had a little bit of money left over on some gift cards and I headed straight to Amazon! I purchased a new bed pillow (which I’m using right now) and a new drill!! It came on the 13th and I’m here to share it with you!

It came in a cute little box, and it’s PINK!! Please note that I didn’t buy it because it was pink. It was a happy coincidence.

This one was like $33 on Amazon brand new. I picked it because it came with some added things like files, and it had great reviews. It is also one of the few that stated it uses 3/32 bits which are the industry standard.

From the Amazon listing, I printed out a small info page on which bit does what, and then I even tried one of the bits out on my pinky!

It didn’t tell you in the instructions, but all you have to do is push the bit in and pull it out when you’re done. There is a little bit of resistance but it’s good. It doesn’t fall out and when I was using it (for the like 3 seconds I had it against my nail) there wasn’t any wobbling or anything. The motor is SO quiet! If the bit wasn’t spinning, I wouldn’t have even known it was on! LOL

So far so good! Now I just sit and wait for my practice fingers to arrive and then I can get started on crating nails and using my drill to file them down! HAHA

If you want to purchase the same drill, click here. I am in no way affiliated with the seller or Amazon, I got no kick backs from this post, I just think it’s a pretty cool tool.

  1. I’m glad you explained what it was and showed the top of the box first, because otherwise that drill in its box looks like it could be something else entirely *grin*
