Ok Peeps and Meeps, I have been tagged in this new thing that’s going around and I’m going to participate! It’s different from the other tags I’ve been involved in, so it totally has my attention!
Becky over at Strikeouts and Sprinkles has nominated me for this tag, and her reveal was so cool that I’ve just got to copy it! Just please don’t read this in your email because then it ruins the surprise (I found out that’s what it was Becky. I was reading it in my email and it didn’t do the code thingy).
How to Participate
- Create a post with your two bookish truths and one bookish lie—but be sure to keep it a secret so your readers can guess!
- Reveal the lie in a spoiler at the bottom of your post.
- Tag 8 friends to play along.
- Link back to the original post so I can see all your secrets!
Two Truths and a Lie
- I let a friend borrow my favourite book in grade 8 and she moved back to Mexico and never gave it back. Then another friend had my new copy in Korea, got hit by a car and lost that copy as well.
- In teacher’s college, I was placed in a kindergarten class and the teacher hated Dr. Seuss and didn’t have any of the books in her classroom.
- I always have to finish a book once I start it.
Nominations
Hot Mess, Fatty McCupcakes, Britchy, Housewife Hustle, Oh Happy Grey, Laundry and Dishes, For the Love of Sass, My Colourful Life.
The Reveal
So Becky was kind enough to put up this code for anyone who wanted to try this reveal thingy that she did where it was hidden and then you click the little arrow and it drops down and BAM there’s the reveal. How cool is that?! So if you are tagged and wanted to do that, or if you are reading this post and want to play along and want to use it, feel free. Also, if you’re not tagged here and you want to do it, jump on this bandwagon! There’s room enough for everyone!
Here’s the code:
Becky says to go into the new editor (gross) and search for an HTML box or it might not work. So that’s what I’m going to do. And if it doesn’t work, then I guess you all can see my answer right under here anyway. HAHA
REVEAL THE LIE
Number 3! I used to have to to finish the book, but as I’ve gotten older, it’s become much easier for me to just stop a book I’m not enjoying and move onto something elseAlso since starting this post, I have been tagged again by Bex, so thank you Bex for the tag!! xoxo
I was right! Your friend was hit by a car!? Hope they are okay!! What is your favorite book? And how on earth can someone hate Dr. Seuss; that’s like hating Walt Disney or Santa Clause!

Yes!! She was crossing the street and a car turned the corner and hit her. The book was in her bag and she lost her bag. My fav book is “Ella Enchanted”. And I KNOW!!! I love Dr. Seuss!! She said she didn’t like the pictures, they were creepy.

Oh! I knew that was your favorite; I just forgot. 🙂 I suppose to each their own.

Thanks for the tag! 🙂
I guessed wrong lol I figured number one was a sure lie. That is so sad that that is true!

It is sad! I’ve lost so many books by lending them out to people haha thankfully only one was such a horrible way to lose it. The others just never returned the book

I totally get that. I RARELY EVER loan a book. I have lost a couple that way and it infuriates me, soooo ya, if they want to read a book I recommend, they have to go get their own copy. #sorrynotsorry

HAHA!! I’m still waiting for a copy to be returned. I mailed it to a friend and since then we have ended our friendship. I requested it be sent back but that was in October so I’m guessing it’s not coming back…

I guessed correctly, huzzah! And I am so glad to see so many people doing my tag, it’s super exciting & I am glad that it’s also teaching people the spoiler tag 😉

LOL this was in 2011 that it happened. She had to wear a boot on her foot for a while and she broke her nose and had to have surgery and I think sprained her wrist? But she had corrective surgery and recovered very quickly.

I guessed wrong. I have gotten everyone’s wrong so far 😦 But I’m glad you figured out the code. It was hard for me to try to explain via Twitter message haha. And can we talk about your friend who got hit by a car? I feel like we glossed over that. Is he/she okay?!

You totally helped through Twitter! You explained everything perfectly. And yes she is ok. I just explained the extent of her injuries under Aaron’s comment if you wanted to read it haha

Same, same. I don’t have time to waste on a book that doesn’t grab me, so I’ve become much better at accepting it will never be finished. If I’m going to have time to relax and read I want it to be enjoyable.

Yes exactly! Especially now that my free time is so precious haha. Not going to waste it on a book I’m not enjoying
