Week 16 of this list asked me to think about things I shouldn’t be doing.
Well, I guess it didn’t really say that. The exact words were “five things to do less often”, but it’s the same thing, right?! Right. I’m glad we all agree on that one.
I’ve been reflecting on this one for a few weeks now, because I do look ahead sometimes, just to see what is coming up to make sure I can quickly do a post on it Saturday mornings before work (ps: this is being written on a Tuesday since I have some extra time and Saturday morning I will be packing up my brother’s car and heading to my cousin’s funeral before then going to my parents’ for 10-days).
Things I should do less often is a really easy, but also very difficult, thing to write about. Because you have to examine your bad habits. I could probably list 20 things right now, but I’m not going to. You guys don’t need to know all my flaws in one post. But here are just 5 random ones:
- Wasting time on Pinterest (and most recently Tumblr)
- Overthinking which then leads to over-stressing
- Listening to respond, but listening to understand
- Doubting myself, telling myself I can’t or shouldn’t do something
- Holding onto the past.
I think that most people can relate to at least one of those things. Of course, they are easy ones to put up for people to read. They don’t really show too much of my faults. I guess if I really looked deep inside I could post up some more much revealing ones, but that also falls into number 4 – I would feel really vulnerable if I did a few of those. But for now, those are the ones that I’m sharing.
