So today we get two videos!
I put a call out for ideas for this week’s nail art design, and Britchy straight away suggested the design that inspired today’s video. Of course, it’s coming to you late on Sunday because I left it until the last minute and only just finished the design and uploading the videos now, late Sunday evening when I should be at a child’s birthday party. I’m going as soon as I post this. I promise.
The design that Britchy suggested is so cute! And she was correct in her email to me that it definitely suits me.
See?! This isn’t the exact picture she sent me, but it’s the one that I had saved in my Pinterest account so it’s the one I’m going to use. Her’s showed the nails having a matte finish and that’s what I was striving for.
I didn’t have a matte top coat, so I went to Pinterest (which has the answers to all life’s problems) and found this:
It looked easy enough so I tried to incorporate it into my design.
The first video went great! It was easy to do the steps, I had enough drying time that nothing got smudged or ruined, and all my nails looked C-U-T-E!! I was in a good mood and it was such a great experience. I also didn’t talk for like too long in the making of the video but it was a nice conversation with myself. It’s 24 minutes, and you can view it here.
And here are my nails all finished and beautiful:
BUT THEN! I was putting away my supplies and I SMUDGED an ENTIRE NAIL! Like the eyes came off! So I was angry. And then I got into a fight with my brother and I was ANGRY. And then I went to check on my video that just finished uploading, and it wasn’t on my YouTube account (I apparently just needed to wait a little bit longer) and I was ANGRY!!!!! So I made a new video while I fixed that one finger.
If you don’t want to watch the 24-minute video, or don’t have the time, or just want to hear me going on an angry tirade about everything that was happening, feel free to watch this video which is 10-minutes long.
If anyone has a suggestion for next weekend, I am very happy to take any requests you might have 🙂 Feel free to email them to me at email@example.com
