I love how every time I see this, I giggle to myself at how saying I love you in German is amazing and terrifying.

Becky’s Questions:
- What are the best and worst purchases you’ve ever made? The best purchase I ever made would be my nail art stuff. I have saved SOO much money over the last two years by doing my own nails. And I’ve learned so much by doing it too. I have to say I make quite a few bad purchases. I try to reign it in my having a system in place to stop impulse buys which works really well, but sometimes it doesn’t work. I think my last bad purchase was a change to my cell phone plan. I was talking to this one guy from an online dating site and we really hit it off, like it was amazing. But he’s in Queens and I’m in Toronto. We would do video chats sometimes but our phone connection was a lot better so we started calling each other which was awesome cos he has a great voice. Anyway – so I realized after a few weeks that my long-distance charges were through the roof so I added some US minutes onto my plan. Literally three days later we had a falling out and I had to change my plan AGAIN because I’m not paying for 1000 US minutes when I’m not calling the US. Pfft.
- Who is the messiest person you know? One of the homestay students from last year. Her room was GROSS and SMELLY and ugh.
- What are your thoughts on mascots? Overall, I think they are ok. I’m not a huge sports fan, but I love hockey. Not like I get really into following any team, but I will watch it and get way too invested in the game because I just love watching the game. I love the mascot for the Maple Leafs! It’s a cute polar bear named Carlton. I HATE HATE HATE the new mascot for the Flyers. OMG, it’s like something dragged out from the depths of hell – I literally can’t. Here, look at how OOO HELLS TO THE NO this thing is:
I am already having nightmares about it and it’s 9:30 am and I’m wide awake. What the actual fuck, Flyers?! Seriously! - What’s the most useless talent you have? I couldn’t think of anything so I asked a friend who said it’s demanding pictures. I’m sorry that I want to see pictures of things. Pictures or it didn’t happen!
- What was the last photo you took? A picture of a blister on my hand that I got from the oven at work. PS: I’m dying from it. Please give donations to a charity of your choice instead of flowers at my funeral. Thank you.
- What song always get stuck in your head? Bananas in Pajamas. You’re welcome.
- What’s your cure for hiccups? Hold your breath and count to 20. When you get to 20, exhale, then swallow, then breath in. If you hiccup in the middle, you’re gonna have to start again.
- What movie quotes do you use on a regular basis? Um, I don’t really use movie quotes? But if/when I do, it’s usually a Disney movie. Frozen is a top contender. Or Mulan – Dishonour on you! Dishonour on your family! Dishonour on your cow!
- What’s something you’ve done that you’re proud of? Finishing my first university degree because I got off to a really rocky start. And moving to Korea.
- Is there a show you used to watch and stopped watching and want to start again? Grey’s Anatomy – although I just started watching it again. Does that count?
- What’s your worst example of procrastination? Do you mean the worst example as in you procrastinated so hard? Or the worst example as in you tried but it failed? Either way, I can’t really think of an example haha.
So I am seriously approaching my 750-word limit so I’m going to do the rest in as few words as possible.

Questions for all you lovely peeps who are nominated and those who just want to overshare about their lives in the comment section below:
- If you had to pick just one classic Disney movie to watch for the rest of your life, which one would it be and why? I’m talking released pre-2005.
- If you had to choose between saving a clown from a horribly painful death or ordering a free pizza, what kind of toppings would you get?
- Does the world really need the new Grinch movie that is coming out this holiday season?
- When you go to the movies, explain to me your thought process – where do you sit? Why? Snacks – do you bring your own or buy there? Pay for VIP showings? Time of day? How close to opening night do you go?
- If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
- How early do you start your Christmas shopping? Are you a “gets started in May” type of person, or an “Ooo it’s December 23rd already? Better get shopping” person?
- What’s the perfect way to celebrate your birthday?
- Do you have different versions of yourself depending on who you are talking to?
- What’s one fact that people tend to be shocked to find out about you?
- Thrift shops – awesome places of wonderment and joy, or full of gross things that people have already owned/wore?
- Rental Car insurance – do you get it from the rental place, or make sure you have your own set up before you rent?
1. The Lion King- hands down.
2. Pineapple, because PINEAPPLE BELONGS ON PIZZA! Actually, it’d probably be pepperoni, but still… it does…
3. No, but Benedict Cumberbatch… ❤
4. I sit as close to the middle of the theater as possible (because it's obviously the best spot) and typically get there early enough to make that happen. They've started checking bags at my local theater, so I don't try to sneak anything anymore. And because I'm cheap, I almost always go to the matinee so it's less expensive. 🙂 And because I don't like people, I never go during opening week!
5. I'm pretty happy with where I live now; in the mountains, close to the river, 5 hour drive to the coast, get to enjoy all 4 seasons… it's a pretty great place. 🙂
6. I've started making lists of gift ideas just recently, but I probably won't start shopping until November/early December.
7. With people I love and some good cake. There's nothing worse than bad cake on your birthday with shitty people.
8. For sure! When I'm around the locals, my country twang comes out.
9. For awhile, it was that I snowboard, but now, it's that I have my CDL and drive a bus!
10. I looooovvvvveeeeee thrift stores!
11. I let my hubby figure that stuff out. 😀

That mascot is something else. It’s looks like the lovechild of Animal from the Muppets and one of the Fire Gang from Labyrinth!
And since I’m avoiding doing coursework right now, I’ll answer these for fun. 😉
1. Beauty and the Beast! I practically watch this once a month anyway.
2. Chicken and mushroom every time. But it has to be a garlic base.
3. This is the first I’ve heard of the new Grinch movie but hey! Look! Benedict Cumberbatch. My husband loves the Jim Carrey version and we have to watch it every year so I suspect this will be added to our (50+) collection of Christmas films eventually.
4. Our local cinema is a single screen, 90 seat cinema. Actually they renovated it a couple of years ago and I think some seats got taken out to make room for the bigger ones with built in cup holders (you would not believe the excitement we experienced when we finally got cinema seats with cup holders!) so it’s maybe an 80 seater now. I always sit smack bang in the middle, seat C8 (because Cait) and the spousal unit takes C7. The C and D rows have the most leg room in our cinema. We always buy snacks there because it’s a small independent cinema and we want to support them as best we can. It’s always a bottle of juice, sweets and then popcorn for me. The spousal unit usually has an ice cream and I’ll pinch licks of it or end up having to go get my own before the film starts. We don’t really get a choice about showings. It’s a matinee on a Saturday and 7pm the rest of the time. I like the night showings because it feels like more of a treat. Films premier here on a Friday but if lots come out we don’t always get it right away. I remember years back when Polar Express came out we didn’t get it til January!
5. At the moment, Wales. It’s where all my family is and I’m 425 miles away from them which is hard.
6. Normally I’m dead organised and have everything pretty much sorted by November with just little bits and Secret Santa stuff to get in December. This year? I know what I want to get my son but I’m not really thinking about anyone else yet.
7. Nice breakfast and presents in bed, a trip out somewhere for the day, home early for a good film and Chinese takeaway.
8. Absolutely. I’ve got my phone voice. I’ve got the regular, totally crazy me. I’ve got the me I put on for people so they don’t think I’m totally crazy. And I’ve now got ‘mummy me’ who narrates everything she does and sings lots of silly songs!
9. I worked as a magician’s assistant.
10. Wonderful places. So much stuff. So cheap. So many hidden gems. Also lots of things to laugh at.
11. I don’t drive so totally not my problem, hehe.

Ooo awesome answers! Thanks for playing 😃😃 I’m in the organized for Christmas group this year. But I’m making blankets for 4 kids so I had to start super early

Awesome!! I can’t wait to read them! I actually picked the majority of my nominees based on people I know who have been having inspiration droughts or just haven’t posted in a while hoping it would bring them back to life!

Since my blog is currently set to private, I can’t really tag people and join in ‘properly’ but it sounds fun so I’ll answer the questions here! 😊
1. I was going to say The Lion King, but I was just reminded of Oliver & Company…
2. Jalapeño. And cheese, all of the cheese…
3. Nope.
4. I don’t really like going to the movies… I usually go when the husband wants to see something so I follow his leads. We usually buy snacks there… It’s a whole other world in the UK! But I stay classic: salty popcorn.
5. Maybe I’d move back home? Or to Germany? Or France?
6. It depends. I always try to be organised and early, but it usually fails! 😂
7. I don’t celebrate my birthday (it’s between Christmas and New Year so there’s already too many celebrations), but we started a tradition a few years ago and usually travel somewhere new for a few days.
8. I have a more professional version of myself, but even then… What you see is pretty much what you get!
9. I went to foster care during my teenage years. I’m really not a typical case so it always surprises people.
10. I don’t like them, but they have their uses.
11. I used to always have mine, but since I moved to Europe, I get one with the rental place. I love renting cars, it’s nice to have a new ride for a few days! 🚘
I don’t think I have 11 facts about me, but here’s a few… I speak five languages, but I’m only perfectly fluent in two, and there is food I don’t like simply because of the texture it has (bananas and porridge are good examples).
Now I need to go read your random facts post! 😁

Oh I forgot your blog went private! Thanks for answering though 😀 I’m with you on the food thing, there are some that I just don’t like because of the texture.
I like your birthday tradition! My brother’s birthday is in the first half of January and I always feel bad cos he doesn’t get a big celebration like others do. Since he lives in Ottawa, I even put his birthday present in with his Christmas. Although last year I wrapped it up and forced him to wait until his actual birthday to open it haha

I 100% agree about the Flyers new mascot. Like it’s good for marketing, I get that, but it’s just scary. What exactly is he anyway? He looks like a really big troll or something. That doesn’t scream hockey to me.

Oh, fun! Thank you for the nomination, GF ❤
I was actually nominated back in July but with different questions (you can see my answers to those here: Liebster Award), so I’ll answer these in this comment. Here goes:
1. Eeps, this is hard. There are too many good ones to pick from so I am going to categorise them…Action: Pirates of the Caribbean, Musical: Mary Poppins, Feel good: Pollyanna, Animated musical: Fantasia, Animated: Finding Nemo.
2. Supreme (pepperoni, bacon, capsicum, ground beef, Italian sausage, mushroom, pineapple, oregano & spring onion).
3. No. There should never be any need for a Christmas Grinch (I *love* Christmas).
4. I sit middle towards the back so I can see the whole screen more easily, I take my own snacks, just go to general sessions, either first session of the day or at night, who cares about opening night? I’m just happy to get to the movies.
5. Sunshine Coast, Queensland hinterland. Sub-tropical climate (I know you shudder at the thought of that, GF), bush surrounds with views but pretty close to the coast.
6. I start early so the spending is spread out. Usually about mid-year.
7. My perfect birthday is a dinner I haven’t had to cook with my family.
8. Kinda. I’m pretty much a what you see is what you get person, but I will be more closed off, or more formal etc depending on the situation.
9. Usually that I’m colour blind (because I’m female).
10. Awesome places of wonderment and joy naturally!
11. Can’t even remember the last time I rented a car, but I would probably just use the one offered from the rental company (I think that is fairly standard here).

Oh you are on a roll tonight with all the comments! I love it!!! Great answers too! Thanks for playing along! 🙂 And you are totally right, I would not want to live anywhere close to a sub-tropical climate hehe
