It’s rare that I share actual news on this blog, but today I do. Over the weekend there was an accident in Saskatchewan involving a transport truck and a bus full of junior hockey players. These guys are the same age as the Ranger’s that I’m writing about for my A to Z – teenagers, 16 to 21.
15 out of the 29 people on the bus have died.
Today I change from red, white and blue and proudly support the green and gold.
What a tragedy! May they rest in peace.

It broke my heart hearing about it. All those kids, their poor families – it’s just a spiraling nightmare.

I heard about the accident today and thought of you, GF, and your posts and wondered if you had a connection with that team as well. Such a tragic loss of young life.

I don’t have a personal connection to the team, I live in Ontario and had never heard of the team until the accident happened. But even with no personal connection, I still feel it. It is so tragic, you are right.
