I need an option for snail mail

Guys, I love getting mail, don’t you?! Getting an envelope in the post is one of the best feelings.

For the next few days, I shall be unreachable via my blog. I know – this is a hard thing to cope with but we will all get through it!

Here in Canada, it is Thanksgiving weekend, and I have rented a car and will be leaving town in the morning for Huron County to spend the weekend with my parents and the dogs. But I am not taking my computer. I am taking my iPadΒ and my phone but I think I will take a little vacation from my blog. No posts, no comments, no reading emails.

BUT if you can’t last the whole weekend without contacting me in some way, leave a comment on a post, use my contact page or just email me directly at noloveforfatties@gmail.com – I promise that on Tuesday I will get back to you πŸ™‚Β maybe Monday night if I’m really dying.

  1. All the envelopes I get in my post are bills, I keep telling people Bill doesn’t live here but nobody pays attention to that!!
    Happy Thanksgiving, enjoy your family!

  2. “Getting an envelope in the post is one of the best feelings….” That is so true and sadly I only get invoice/promotional posts now. 2 years back I wrote a letter to a friend and it was so good.. even if I was the one sending it, not receiving. That actually motivated me to start my blog. I wanted to write so much… πŸ˜‰

Happy Thanksgiving, have a wonderful vacation.

    • I only get like one piece of mail each month and it’s a credit card statement. And I only get that because I cancelled the card but still have a balance on it so they have to send it to me since my online account is not closed lol

  3. I love getting mail, too! It is all the more exciting here because I reside in a rural area where retrieving the mail involves a trip to the post office, not a stroll to the mailbox out by the road! Enjoy your break. Looking forward to our American Thanksgiving next month.

    • My parents live in a community like that! They have a PO Box that they go and check. I remember growing up, we had to walk to the end of the street to the post office, which was literally in a lady’s house. She converted her enclosed porch into a post office and that’s where it was. Living in small rural towns are the best!
