The last day!! I can’t believe I made it to the last day!! Since we are all probably exhausted, I’m not going to write anything. Just take a look at some of these zany fandom posts.

I particularly love the first one! What a fun challenge you selected this time. Can you believe we made it to the end?

Thanks for dropping it! It was quite an adventure trying to sort through all the fan ideas so I’m glad I got to use some of the funnier ones here. The first one is one of my favourites as well! And the last one haha! I’m surprised it is the end already! Can’t wait to write up my reflection for tomorrow.

It was fun to revisit Harry Potter. So much about the book series (and the movies) makes me happy. Congrats on finishing the challenge. WeekendsInMaine

I enjoyed your 30 days… Lots of fun and a few times I almost spit coffee on my screen. Congratulations on finishing 🙂

If I didn’t have the good sense to back up from the screen when I know I’m about to choke on my tea, I’d have done the same thing several times (I lost a laptop once because milk accidentally got spilled inside it…never happening again). 😛
I thought the one about the cat was gonna be the headcannon where Lily brings home this cute little kneazle kitten who absolutely adores Harry, and when the house gets blown up he disappears and is supposedly never seen again…until several years later when the Trio go into the Magical Menagerie so Ron can get rat tonic for Scabbers, and there’s an old, cranky kneazle that no one wants to take home with them who suddenly is fighting to go with the Trio…it’s not because he realizes Scabbers isn’t really a rat, it’s because he recognizes Harry (who looks like James, and of course he would remember what James looked like) and he wants to be with his only surviving family again. He doesn’t even care that he has to stay with Hermione, because he gets to see Harry every day while they’re at school. I’d never thought of that scenario before I read it the other day, but that actually makes perfect sense. It would have been one thing if he had recognized that Scabbers was Wormtail (and who knows, maybe he did, if he had been the Potters’ cat he would have seen Peter in rat form at some point—Sirius too, which is why he helped him that year and Sirius just thought he was good at communicating with the furball without realizing he was the Potters’ cat all grown up) and if he did then he would also know who the real traitor was and do everything he could to expose him, but also if he recognized Harry, and realized that Harry was with his family’s betrayer and didn’t realize it, then he would be trying even harder to get to go with them so he could try to protect Harry as much as possible till Wormtail could be exposed… everything makes so much sense now. Even without Jo writing all this herself, it makes perfect sense…She is still the greatest genius of ever! All hail Queen Jo!

Ooo I love that theory as well! In the books you see the connection between Crookshanks and Sirius so much more and I’m sad it didn’t make it into thw movies. It makes total sense that Croolshanks was the Potter’s cat! 🐱 ❤

It does, doesn’t it? I don’t know why I never thought of that before. I think because I forgot they even had a cat till reading that theory. And you know they never did say where Crookshanks was while they were on their Horcrux hunt…did she send him with her parents to Australia? The only time he got mentioned in the entire book is when Ron said something to the effect of “If only we had Crookshanks with us” when they needed to stop the Whomping Willow to use that tunnel to the Shrieking Shack. I love Hermione’s response, “Are you a wizard or not?” Throwing his own words back at him from the end of first year when they were trying to get past the Devil’s Snare and she said they didn’t have any firewood to make a fire with (after she’d been conjuring bluebell flames all year) and Ron said, “Are you a witch or not?” and she was like, “Oh right!” and conjured bluebell flames to drive the Devil’s Snare back. I love how they came full circle with that one seven years later. 😛

Sometimes when I can’t sleep I just flick through fan theories on Pinterest. I’ve actually had to remind myself that some of those things I read aren’t actually in the books, but I’ve kind of accepted them as headcanon!

Same here! But I’ve been on HP overload so now I’m trying to train pinterest not to suggest anything else for me haha

I only discovered your blog mid-way through the challenge but I enjoyed it immensely. It came along just at the right time, having just watched Fantastic Beasts, was in the middle of reading The Cursed Child, playing a HP roleplaying game and reading The Philosopher’s Stone to my son. By adding your blog I have now achieved Harry Potter overload. Thank you! Next weekend I guess I’m going to out buy robes and a wand.
