Happy New Year everyone, and welcome to 2017! I hope that ya’ll had a great night celebrating in whatever way you celebrate the changing of the year.
For me, that was in my bed fast asleep and I loved it! I know that totally makes me sound like an old fuddy-duddy (yeah I said it!) but that’s just how I roll. I never get all excited about changing from one year to the next. For me, it doesn’t really hold any real significance. The bigger change for me is always my birthday – when I’m actually a year older. Oh and this year is going to be a harsh one (30 years old guys! I’m going to be 30 and Sandra is still going to be 29 and I’m going to have to change my banner on my blog – I’m probably going to cry about it).
So when the clock clicked from 2016 into 2017 I was sleeping. Yesterday, I did what I normally do on New Year’s Eve. Well, almost what I normally do. I watched movies (Kingsmen: The Secret Service…auh-mazing!) and ate junk food, and was sleeping before 11 pm. If I’m at my parents’ house on New Year’s Eve (like I was this year) I usually make a pizza and enjoy the night to myself, but this year the parents didn’t go out. Mom has been having a rough time lately (emotionally, mentally, physically, medically) so they stayed in.
Since today is the start of a new year, it is also the start of my 365 Days of Writing challenge that I set for myself. I am using the WordPress PDF for the prompts. They are for the 2014 year so I have altered all the years in the prompts to fit this year.
Each day I will be doing a post based on their prompt. The title of the post will be provided from the title of the prompt (unless otherwise stated) and I will leave the prompt at the bottom of the post. Some of the posts deal with some personal things so they will be Giggling Follower posts only. I don’t want to skip over them just because of the content. I really want to give this the old college try.
If you would like to follow along, here is a copy of the pdf for you to use.
January 1:Stroke of Midnight Where were you last night when 2016 turned into 2017? Is that where you’d wanted to be?
