Good Things Grow in Ontario

10,000 extra bonus points if you were able to sing that title.

Where my parents currently live, is a small town in Huron County in Ontario. Trust me when I say that’s not really giving my location away. I can drive 30 minutes in any direction and pass through 2-5 small towns along each highway route. I am actually less than a 30-minute drive from the farm where my dad was born and raised, which is an amazing piece of his life that I am happy to have been able to experience growing up.

If you look at the end of the lane, you can actually see Lake Huron

We are most definitely a summer tourist spot. I’m a 20-minute drive from the beach, with some amazing coastline hamlets. Although I do love that the town I call home (until Sunday!) is away from the beach. It allows for summer fairs and festivals, with a collection of awesome tourists, but stays away from the crazy beach town life. It’s great.

I’ve noticed a lot of tourism videos floating around for this area. Huron County is a really great place. So I thought I’d share one with you. It’s from Bayfield (one of those small towns within a 30-minute drive) and it just beautiful.

While all my American readers are celebrating Thanksgiving today (Happy Thanksgiving!) I am thankful for being able to experience the beauty and tranquility of living in Huron County.
