Death-ilates: Resistance Band

I had a post all primed in my “drafts” section for this morning. Literally waking up in the middle of the night to scribble on my hand something so that I wouldn’t forget. Then I woke up this morning and remembered it was Thursday, which means no more than 300 words…. pilates is it!

Last night was pilates again. It’s three times a week now that I am paying for it. I don’t want to be wasting my money, even if it is less than $40 per month.

I was super excited because the 7pm class was doing the resistance bands. Since I started, I have never done the band! I have done the gym ball, the weights, the stepper and the resistance ring though. This was the last aspect that I had left to try.

Since I didn’t have an adult conversation class, I was able to get changed after work and wait in the studio before the last class ended. That means I was able to get a good spot right up front so I could see what the instructor was doing. It honestly wasn’t too bad – a few times I felt like I was doing it all wrong, but I think I did ok for my first time. The stepper is still the most hated aspect of the classes though.

Our instructor seems to have her favourites in the class, or maybe they are just the regulars. Last night, after the class was done, a few of them were stretching out their legs and pelvis region and the instructor sat down in front of one of them, put their feet together and just pushed this lady’s legs out wider!! The sounds she was making should really only be reserved for a moment of heated passion with a lover….
