If you’ve been reading my posts lately, you’d have realized that I’m not really posting as I used to. I’ve stumbled upon a little bit of writer’s block/lethargy when it comes to my blog.
I think a little part of that was from doing so many challenges all in a row. I started with Blogging U courses, completing at least one a month for a few months, then the A-Z challenge that I completed in April. But I’d like to get back to just writing for the sake of writing. It’s something that brought me a peace inside, and I was excited and motivated to do that.
In the progress of “getting back to me”, I’ve made a few changes: I’ve changed around some of the tabs at the top of the page, slightly updating a few of them, with more work to come. I think I’ll take another Blogging U course – perhaps only the one for beginning bloggers, just to refocus and rediscover my blog. I like how they aren’t as “online class work” as they were before. While I did enjoy the interaction with other bloggers, that part did make the work somewhat exhausting.
While keeping my 300 Thursdays, I think I’ll be doing away with monthly focused writing. It was way too much pressure to keep things up, and partly why I took a mini hiatus in March.
Lastly, I wanted to give this “Life Lately” thing a try. I’ve seen a few other bloggers doing it, most recently by a blog that I read every time something is posted, Gigantic Thought Bubble. I’m not sure how often I will post, but it will be a nice time of reflection.
Instead of having all of the answers be about my impending vacation (8 weeks! YES!) Let’s just assume that all I’m really thinking about/planning for is my vacation. Aside from that:
Lately, I’ve been thinking…about goodbye gifts for my students. I would really like to give them something special and personal. I’m leaning towards cross stitch bookmarks but I’m not sure if I can crack that many out by the time my contract is up. And also, getting the supplies….do I just use regular aida cloth? Or wait until I’m in Canada for my vacation and then try to get specific aida bookmarks – they would be easier, but probably more expensive.
Lately, I’ve been feeling…a little bleh. A lot of things have been adding up to push me into a non-bubbly place but I’m slowly crawling back into glitter land
Lately, I’ve been wanting…to go shopping and go to the DMZ! Since I’ve started the process to move back home, I want to make sure I actually get to the DMZ before I return. It was one regret from my last contract.
Lately, I’ve been doing…not a whole heck of a lot!
Lately, I’ve been hoping…that the baby blanket I’m working on will just magically finish itself so I don’t have to knit the last two skeins of yarn.. knitting fairies exist yes?
