Alright folks, I have had an epiphany! While making my post yesterday for Athens, I found my word count jumping higher and higher and basically all I was doing was regurgitating (yeah I said it regurgitating hehe I hate that word!) the travel website that I linked. So for the remainder of the challenge, I’m just going to put pretty little pictures up! Obviously I can’t put up all the pictures of things I’d want to see, but just a few 🙂
Today’s capital city is Berlin. Since I am part German (a side I rarely flaunt over my Scottish roots), I have always had a desire to go to Germany. My brother and I almost took a week long vacation there but he decided he needed to use that money to pay tuition and rent and stuff….

What is it about squashing the German roots? I’m half Dutch and half German, but I only ever mention the Dutch half. Of course, the Dutch have better pastries and we were only ever taught the Dutch traditions growing up. I’m trying to singlehandedly bring the German half up to speed by resurrecting Oktoberfest. Bought my girls dirndls and everything! We shall not deny our German side any longer!!

It’s not so much as squashing it, it’s just that I connect with the Scottish side much more I guess? My brother definitely connects more with the German. Oktoberfest is AMAZING! I grew up in Kitchener, Ontario, which has the largest Oktoberfest outside of Germany. It’s pretty amazing.
