Just sayin’….

Quirk of Habit

Which quirky habit annoys you the most, and what quirky habit do you love — in yourself, or others.

I’m not sure if I can identify any “quirky” habits that I have in myself. I do crack my knuckles, say “ummmm” way too much, play with my finger nails. But I don’t think any of those fall under the heading “quirky”. Quirky to me means that its unique, special. Those things aren’t.

I can tell you that I absolutely hate, with a loathing so strong I can barely put it into words, the phrase “just sayin'”.

For the love of Sweet baby Jesus PLEASE never say this to me. I once worked with a lady at Tim’s who every time she would disapprove of your actions or try to tell you to do something in her little passive-aggressive “I’m not the supervisor but I think I know better than everyone” way, would end whatever she was saying with “just sayin'”. It was her habit and I have hated the phrase ever since. I would make an ice capp, and fill it a little over the line where we were suppose to fill it, she would go “ya know, you shouldn’t fill that so full. You might get in trouble. I’m not trying to tell you how to do your job but just sayin’…..” Then her friends would come through the drive thru and she would fill the cup SO FULL that it made a mess when you took it off the whipper.

“that pot should be rotated this way, not trying to start anything, but ya know just sayin’….”

just sayin

just sayin

just sayin

OMG! By the time I quit to go to teacher’s college I was ready to ask the girl next to me to gurl!! hold my hoops!

Oooo I just thought of a quirk! Sometimes I sound kind of southern….I’ll say something like “thanks sugar pie” or “aren’t ya’ll sweet” or call someone Darlin’ and I really do sound like I’m from Alabama or something haha. Does that count?
