Alarm Clock Records

Critical Eye

Write about the subject you usually blog about as if you were a music critic.

The Alarm Clock Record company has been in business for decades, yet over the last few years has been decreasing in popularity. Sales were once high, everyone wanting a piece of the company. With new technology arriving every day, shares in Alarm Clock Records have taken a drastic hit.

The singles produced by Alarm Clock Records have always landed on top. As the radio was introduced to their product line up, people seemed to be flocking to the company in record high numbers.

Once the switch to radio arrived, the vintage selection with Alarm Clock Records took a dip, but some people still preferred the vintage sound over the new modern take. The company seemed to be holding strong after the shift.

Currently, it’s been at least 4 months since Alarm Clock Records made a hit this writer could take interest in. Vintage sounds are sometimes heard from accompanying studios. Slowly the sounds of Alarm Clock Records are fading to the background.

Is this the last that we’ll see of Alarm Clock Records? What does the future hold?

Not really the best at being a music critic, but that was my best shot! Realized yesterday that I haven’t used my alarm clock in about 3 months. I did have to use it while supply teaching in Canada for the first few months of the school year, as well as getting up at 4am for my flight over here. But those are my alarm on my cell phone with pretty music. I’ve set an actual alarm clock a few times after moving, but I am always up before it goes off. I wake up every day within the same 30 minute time frame which pretty much rocks. Plus I hate the regular BEEP BEEP BEEP of an alarm.

One of my neighbours has a strange schedule. Saturday mornings his alarm goes off at 5am. I would hate to have that life!! ITS SATURDAY!  But even after my hectic day where I was dead to the world at 10:30 last night, I was still up at 7:30 this morning! The sun shines in my window enough to wake me up every day. It’s so much better than an alarm clock!

What about you? Do you use an alarm clock or your cell phone to wake you up? Regular alarm clock sound, radio setting, or special music?
